Hello! My name is Tors. I'm a writer, blogger and chocaholic living in the mountains of South Wales. I have been blogging since February 2010, although my blogging schedule is a little sporadic at times.

I started Girl, meets Wolf after a vintage day ogling old films, vintage outfits and listening to golden oldies. It occurred to me that there must be an online presence of other women with similar tastes in old styles and times gone by, and I wasn't wrong. A confirmed tomboy, I'd never had the courage to explore my femininity, turning thirty brought to light how unhappy I was with my image and lack of backbone, and I decided to start working on a personal style that made me happy and excited about the clothes I was wearing. That exploration is still ongoing; I'm still trying to figure out what I like, what suits me (often two very different things) and how to express my love of vintage without looking like an extra from a period drama, those findings are documented through my style tag. I'm also trying very hard to learn how to smile in my photographs. Unfortunately, I haven't really cracked it yet.

The name came about after the wolf started photobombing every picture I tried to take for the blog (see above). I figured, given that he's a huge part of my life and he was obviously determined to make himself a part of my blog too, that I should really include him in the name. If you'd like to learn more about me and my pets, you can find posts under my all about me and pet-tastic tags.

WHAT YOU'LL FIND HERE

I post outfits from my daily life (well, daily trips out of the house that don't involve the supermarket or walking the wolf), my renovation and redecoration progress and inspiration, day trips and photographs from the more interesting places I visit. I try to document my forays in to sewing and crafting, interspersed with the odd post about the two furries who live with me.

Some of my most favourite posts are:

I can also be found on Lookbook.nu, Chictopia, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram. I do love technology.

Feel free to have a rummage, drop me a line, leave me comments or just lurk to your hearts content. I love hearing from readers and read every comment and email, although my deadlines can sometimes mean that it takes me a little while to respond (sorry!).

Right now I'm hoping to get a proper blog schedule together that allows me to write for work, meet my deadlines, blog interesting items and photograph outfit posts while still leaving time to work on my house. A tall order, but I'm hopeful. In the meantime, croeso! And thanks for stopping by.
