We had our first barbecue of the year this weekend, now it's trying desperately to snow and I hear poor Scotland got six inches of powder dumped on it overnight. We're hoping it won't be so bad over here, and what snow is falling certainly isn't managing to settle. But it's still very bloody chilly here, particularly in my stone house with no central heating and bare concrete floors! So I thought I'd warm myself up with some lovely pictures from my parents house I took on Sunday, it sits halfway up the side of a valley overlooking a village. The land surrounding their house is owned by a lovely farmer down the road, at the moment it's filled with sheep and their lambs and the fragrant smell of springtime animals. I love visiting their house, particularly with the wolf, as we can wander around the valley in a lovely circuit, crossing rivers and walking through ancient Welsh oak woods.

There is no road up to their house, only a horse track and a gate we all swing on when we open it for cars. As you can imagine it's very peaceful, and the views are stunning. The title of the post is the name of their house, I'm told it means grove of wavy trees ... or something along those lines. My memory's getting worse and worse! Regardless of the name, it's a great place to kick back, relax and eat lots of good food, so great in fact that they've had to instigate a booking system for friends to stay!

Thanks for stopping by,

Beautiful pics- Sunday was a glorious day wasn't it? Today the weather is far less glorious- time to fetch the hot water bottle again...

I'm surprised the wolf didn't make an appearance on your pics, was he feeling a bit camera-shy?

Tors

Alas, he was not invited for the barbecue on this occasion :(

Such gorgeous views, I love the old trees, must be so enjoyable walking around there! :-)

So peaceful - gorgeous. You could dress the wolf up in sheep's clothing, maybe that would secure him an invitation although it might be an affront to his dignity! I'm enjoying the novelty of heavy rain but could do with a bit more sunshine.

Tors

Hahahaha, I'm tempted just to see his reaction! Brilliant!

penny for your thoughts ...
